Ivy Lodge Care Home provides high-quality residential and respite care for older people in Haxby, close to York.
Established in 1984, Ivy Lodge has been caring for older people for more than 40 years and has become a well-established part of the local community.
Our approach to care is personal and individual. We take time to understand each resident’s needs, preferences and routines, supporting them to retain their independence, make their own choices and continue enjoying the things that are important to them.
Home to up to 33 residents, Ivy Lodge combines the charm of an original Edwardian farmhouse with comfortable bedrooms, welcoming communal spaces and a peaceful garden. Its smaller size creates a relaxed and familiar environment, where residents can get to know the people around them and our team can provide genuinely personal support.

From familiar songs that encourage a singalong to an impromptu dance, music is a wonderful way to bring residents and team members together.

Food and dining at Ivy Lodge Care Home
Good food is an important part of everyday life at Ivy Lodge, with fresh, nutritious meals prepared by our kitchen team and an emphasis on traditional cooking, home baking and the best seasonal produce available.
Residents can enjoy plenty of choice, including two options at lunchtime, with a vegetarian choice available. Our team takes time to understand individual tastes, preferences and dislikes, and we cater for food intolerances and individual dietary requirements.
Mealtimes are relaxed and sociable, with residents encouraged to enjoy their meals together in our dining room. However, personal choice always comes first.
